While changing my oil today, I noticed a couple of things that screem, "You will have to fix this motor soon!" So, I called up my dad and he wants to just put a new motor in it. If we were to get a new motor, what would be the issues with swapping it. And I don't mean another 94-95 5sfe. I mean a newer 96+ 5sfe. He might try to pull that 93 and under 5sfe crap with me, but I'm not going to let it happen if I have to stick with a 5sfe. It's newer, or a performance motor. I'm putting my foot down on the cheap dad.

Along with Bigmeans I have a question about this as well, say i blow my 7afe can i just swap another 7afe in or will i have to change like ecu and such? i don't think we'd have to but i'm just double checking.

Nope just the engine itself.

what are these things you noticed?

Suds in oil along with light brown radiator fluid and constant leak. It actually was dripping last time I raced it. I think that's when it happend.

Yeah thats never a good sign. Most likely a blown HG, it doesn't have to leak compression or burn oil either.
it might be just where the oil and coolant jackets are close by and the HG is broken there. Thats what it sounds like and would explain the leak also.
