Ive tried to clear my code 54 like it says in the sticky by jumping the coolant level sensor but after i turn the car back on the light is still on. Do i have to reset the ecu? or should i be jumping it with a resistor?
btw i also didnt have the relay for the pump and as such had to wire it in. the three wires going back to the ecu are all fed back in and looking at the ewd the way i have it wired shouldnt affect anything. any ideas? This post has been edited by urbandork: Nov 24, 2006 - 12:26 AM |

First off, you're not supposed to be jumping the coolant temp sensor. You're supposed to be jumping the water level sensor of the IC core.
After that you need to either have the pump wired in EXACTLY like it was in the ST205 or you need to make this simple circuit: http://www.gt4dc.co.uk/website/howtos/st205_code54.php -------------------- ![]() Project ST204.5 99.88946% complete... |
