QUOTE(lantz2121 @ Nov 28, 2006 - 1:16 AM) I just found out about this in my economics class today. This may be too deep for some but check into this website. I'm 24 and this just blows my mind.. read or watch the info and let it sink in. http://www.freedomtofascism.com/ Thanks 6gc Lance Russo is an interesting dude based on the bio on his website. But the "taxes are unconstitutional" rap puts him in with some very shady far-right groups. Recall, the world of the Constitution's framers never had to drive to work on a paved road. Taxes pay for the road our Celicas run on. Working people give more to the oil companies every year in gasoline and home heating and air conditioning bills than to taxes. And yes, that home AC is powered by gas and oil power plants... Then again, the internet was a public project, so consider life with a privatized web: ATT and Comcast run the show and cut the bandwidth for forums like this -- now you can watch Congress over the next session for that one... Oligopoly (look it up) is the problem, not representative government. Russo is one more rich dude pissed that the last 35% of his millions goes to benefit everyone, not just his fat-arsed lifestyle. National ID card? Exactly how is that different from your State driver's license or ID card that's already in national law enforcement databases? "Plans to imbed a chip" is just bull. I'm not surprised that Bush's "Homeland Security" would throw money at a feasibility study for this, I'm surprised that anyone's gullible enough to think this would get past square one. As for rigged voting machines, is this the first time you've heard of voter fraud? Jerks been trying since Jefferson edged Burr; no dis to TJ, just that Burr's enemies had a couple of his delegates arrested in Virginia before they posted their electoral votes. If you worry about voter fraud, don't look for the "anti-income-tax" crowd to help -- they'd rather own everything and charge "poll tax". If a tax has to go, it's sales tax, which bites the poor and middle class. At least income taxes are lower for lower incomes, and higher for those what can afford it. |
