I just purchased a 94 celica gt coupe, and I'm about to remove the stereo and everything else from the center console to get back to the heater system. I'm assuming the stereo is going to need the security code when I reinstall it, and the previous (1st) owner didn't have the code. I've talked to dealers and the central Toyota customer service department and I'm finding that the only way to get the code is to take the car into a dealership and have them reset the stereo.
Has anyone found any other way of getting the code besides this? How much will it cost me to take it into a dealer? |
