these are the tools you need to shim the oil pump
![]() 1st i took of my oil pan then took out the clip thats holds the spring in place ![]() it take no time realy ![]() I put it back together in the order you see ![]() oh I cleaned the oil pan when it was down.. A. you don't need that much oil flow at high rpms
B. The factory oil pump was designed for a certain RPM range @ x pressure value. If you shim the pump and run to 8500rpm you're going to risk pump cavitation and then sucking your sump dry. -------------------- 87 4runner DLX 22re, 5spd, 4.30gr, 4" lift, 30" tires, HID w/ Projectors, 6spkr + sub, custom exhaust, 94 celica leather seats, SR5 gauge cluster and clinometer. Future engine swap... possibly a 2jzge.
