these are the tools you need to shim the oil pump
![]() 1st i took of my oil pan then took out the clip thats holds the spring in place ![]() it take no time realy ![]() I put it back together in the order you see ![]() oh I cleaned the oil pan when it was down.. whos to say you dont. im pretty sure on every chrisk motor build he uses a higher flowing oil pump. he mustn't know he doest need it.
also im not gunna be using the stock amount of oil, i have almost 1 qt and a half more in the system, so i dont see that happening. QUOTE Chris K mentioned using a 1.25mm - 1.5mm shim to provide an adequate mechanical shim to raise the spring's seating pressure to the desired pressure
