how much can 5sfe take?, how much is to much?

Im am seriously thinking about getting turbo on my car and i dont want to blow it up. How much would be a same daily running. My car has almost 100k on it. would it be wise to put on a turbo without a overhaul on my engine. I dont want to get rid of my engine for a 3sgte, I want to keep my gt a gt. It is a sentimental thing. I just couldnt part with my 5sfe. also i have an automatic, will it be able to handle the extra boost?

yeah the 5sfe can take a lot of boost, especially if you upgrade to the newere 98+ forged pistons, and get a different HG.
