Anyone else have a problem with their seatbelt not wanting to retract without feeding it through the roller... i was going to try to clean it out and grease it, but i wanted to ask if anyone has done this. is it something you can clean and grease up, or does it need to be replaced when its lost its spring.

lol i havent noticed anything... maybe cause mine is a vertt...
but i think that it has some kind of thing, next time hold your seatbelt in your hand with the key in the off position than turn the key to the on position but dont turn it on and you should feel the belt tug a lil bit, i think its that way or when you turn it off it tugs a little bit. its not like a hard tug but just a tug enough to get it moving... QUOTE(XS4lv1Truch0x @ Dec 6, 2006 - 10:59 PM) lol i havent noticed anything... maybe cause mine is a vertt... but i think that it has some kind of thing, next time hold your seatbelt in your hand with the key in the off position than turn the key to the on position but dont turn it on and you should feel the belt tug a lil bit, i think its that way or when you turn it off it tugs a little bit. its not like a hard tug but just a tug enough to get it moving... but why would you turn your car on after you unbuckle your belt? Open the mechanism attached to the pillar up. I did on my old talon and it was jammed with tons of hair/dust/fuzzy stuff. I cleaned it all up, and it worked fine, retracting with much more force than before. |
