I've got a '94 S/T that loves to consume oil (1.5qt per tank). 147K on the speedo. It smokes upon start up and slightly when driving, I suspect valve stem seals. PCV valve is good. Ran a compression check and each cylinder was over 210psi. Plugs look good with a slight tan deposit on them. Anybody had a similar problem and found a fix? Not sure if should rering it or just do the stem seals. Don't have a leakdown tester to see what that shows. What ya think?

sounds like real bad valve stem seals. high rpm driving will make it worse.
try adding some ATF (no more than 1/2 qt ) to your oil to soften the valve seals some. -------------------- |
