Found this on ebay and consider buying it for my swap...but...here's the down side, it is an automatic tranny...i know this sounds stupid, but that shouldn't make any difference in the power of a manual vs. an automatic right? i can still change the tranny from an automatic to a manual and the parts to this ST215 will still have all the right components and same ratios...get the same 260HP and so on right?....

reasons not to buy this engine:
1) automatic, meaning you will get an automatic ECU. If you mount it to a manual tranny it will throw engine codes 2) missing little things, stuff that will just add up because you will either have to go through all the local engine importers to get these little parts. Or buy them new from toyota which will be very expencive. ( such as 100 dollars for a tiny sensor). |
