My BOV is currently re-circulated, and I was wondering how I would go about venting it back into the atmosphere. I bought the car with a completed 3sgte swap but the BOV had been recirculated back into the intake. Now I know that the performance gains are better with it being recirc (no backfires, better response...) but I have been wanting to play around with it, and was also wanted to see first-hand how dramatic the performance gains are.
Can I just disconnect the recirc tube from the BOV, and cap the nipple on the intake tubing, or would I need to get a different intake tube w/o the recirc nipple and use that. Im worried if I just cap the nipple off, that the excess pressure (before BOV releases) could blow the cap off and would create boost problems. |

if you want to hear the sound go to you tube, otherwise dont take a swap that someone obviously did right and undo their hard work..
but yes, remove the recirc tube and cap the intake nipple off, if you plan on leaving it vented, i would recommend buying a 2nd gen alltrac intake as it has no recirc hole, or having someone (lagos makes them here) make you a custom intake.
