My BOV is currently re-circulated, and I was wondering how I would go about venting it back into the atmosphere. I bought the car with a completed 3sgte swap but the BOV had been recirculated back into the intake. Now I know that the performance gains are better with it being recirc (no backfires, better response...) but I have been wanting to play around with it, and was also wanted to see first-hand how dramatic the performance gains are.
Can I just disconnect the recirc tube from the BOV, and cap the nipple on the intake tubing, or would I need to get a different intake tube w/o the recirc nipple and use that. Im worried if I just cap the nipple off, that the excess pressure (before BOV releases) could blow the cap off and would create boost problems. |

Also, youtube only has 2 clips of this type of BOV and they arent the best. I only wanted to play around and experiment. The last boosetd car I owned (dsm awd) was completely stock and I had always wanted to play around with this type of stuff. Cant learn if you dont do! ![]() This post has been edited by 6gsillyca: Dec 14, 2006 - 2:57 AM |
