Curious to know will the 4AGE Directly drop into the AT200? When I say directly drop in, i mean can I drop it in with ( taken from a site) "In general, the engine comes with an intake manifold, exhaust manifold, fuel injection, alternator, distributor, usually partial wire harnesses that are cut near the engine, oil pan, valve cover, pulleys, etc. We do not guarantee that the accessories will be included or that they work properly. Axles, motor mounts and shift linkage do not come with the engine."
And have no serious complications such as different transmission, mounts, etc. Yes I noticed it says wiring harness is cut. EDIT: I read the FAQ, but It didn't say if you need the clip or not. Hench Im still asking if major complications arise. This post has been edited by o0black0o: Dec 14, 2006 - 9:38 AM |

Like 95CelicaSt said, since the engine is an A-series engine it should bolt up directly into the engine using the same mounts used for the 7afe. The exhaust manifold may or may not come with a downpipe. If it doesn't, have an exhaust shop fabricate the 4age manifold(possibly weld on another flange to the downpipe or replace flange on exhaust manifold) so it connects to the factory downpipe that was used for the 7afe engine. As far as wiring is concerned, try to get a complete uncut harness because you will more than likely need most of the connectors for the 4age. I recommend contacting Dr. Tweak on making your wire harness if you feel sketchy about doing the wire harness yourself. He gives a reasonable price for his wire harness conversion and will be tons of help if you run into any problems with your swap. Okay, now take into consideration on what type of 4age you are getting. If you get a 16v 4age, you will have a way easier time to get parts just in case something breaks. If you get a 20v, be prepared to pay alot more for replacement parts and having some trouble getting the parts you need(you will need to find resources!)
