looking for some pointers on replacing the 7afe valve cover gasket. pretty sure mine is shot and its leaking a bit of oil. least all the oil seems to be slowly seeping from under the valve cover and its really beginning to bother me. you must understand too, i'm getting to the point where i don't care anymore b/c w/262k miles and hoping for an engine swap soon... there's a lot more to worry about. thanks for anyone who can share some knowledge.

Just removed mine today to install new valve stem seals. Easy to remove the cover, start by disconnecting the neg battery cable. To gain enough slack to get the wiring harness over the end of the cover, remove the alternator wiring (two places) Carefully lift the wiring harness out of the groove in the timing cover(after removing the small cover for it) and move it towards the passenger side of the engine. Remove the 4 cover bolts and washers and gently pry the valve cover up on each end to remove it. Remove the half moon rubber seal at the rear camshaft passenger end. Clean and reseal it when reinstalling it(possible source of leak)When reinstalling the cover be sure to place a small bead of RTV in the corners (4 places) around the cam seal bearing cap and the distributor end of the cover. Have fun!
