Has anybody had to buy a new down pipe when buying a new exhaust manifold or does the old one works for the new performance.

you should go all out.
or work your way back to front. you don't have to get a dp, if the manifold is meant for the car it should bolt up, but i personally suggest doing a downpipe  btw, sik paint
