i think it's entirely likely that a 600bhp awd car at ~3000 lbs. could beat a 1000bhp rwd car at 3500 lbs.
i'd think, with engines that powerful, that the quarter mile would boil down to traction. who can actually get their power to the ground. as for weights i'm assuming stock which could be wrong. check out this fun top gear vid. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9GxZVhkVz6M here's the full vid (but audio is badly out of sync) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fhVXnOBOZqw and note where Jeremy says he got a bad start because of no awd or traction control. though the result is totally different 'cause it's a mclaren. |
