RWD conversoin Options

is it even possible to do a RWD conversion? i just wondered b/c i saw a 3000 GT twin turbo w/ like 280 hp. i know its prolly stupid, and i dont have the money to do it i just wondered if i ever do have that kind of cash would it work? and estimate on cost?

Sure, you could make a Celica RWD. With alot of money of course.

For starters...If you wanted to use an OEM toyota powerplant for example, you could use any S-series engine on custom mounts and mount the engine longitudinally in the engine bay, then use a Toyota Altezza 6-speed RWD transmission to bolt up to the engine. You might have to take a sledgehammer, plasma cutter, etc to the firewall to get either to fit right, it could fit just right or it could be entirely too long and require serious work to fit.

From there, you'd need a customized Altezza driveshaft most likely, then maybe use the rear end from the Altezza as well and maybe use some GT-Four rear hubs to utilize some custom axles, which in itself would require some awesome fabrication skills. You would probably also need either a relocated fuel tank or a GT-Four tank.

Thats just a very basic idea of what I would imagine would get the job done....ALOT of custom work involved, ALOT of cursing.....I think I'd rather just go out and buy a Supra. It would probably be cheaper anyway.

personally i'd look into a celica supra trannyi, such as the combo used the the RWD 3sgte AE86 we've seen posted here, with a entire GT4 rear end and drive shaft...since that all "FITS"
