Heres a solution for yas, my brothers mustang had a bent rear end axel so we put a V6 rear i and he got picked upt for doing 81mph when his needle said 70. Long story short we went out and I told him to drive 50mph and i followed him and then we pulled off just down the road and i told him he was doing 60mph so my recommendation is to find a friend and try several speeds to see how much your needle is off since you removed it before if nothing else works.
