This maybe a daft question but the celica is my 1st air con car.

I could be mistaken since I rarely use my air conditioner (I drive a convertible), but if I remember correctly econ brings in air from outside the car while the second setting recirculates the air that is already in the car. I might have it swapped though...or just be completely wrong
