I just installed Tien S-Techs, Bilsteins, and ST Swaybars. Whenever I turn the wheel I get popping sounds and smell burning rubber in the right wheelwell. From what I've read the popping is from the springs not being perfectly set, but why the burning smell?

I figured out the issue. At the top of the strut assembly the cap has an arrow that reads "out". If you make sure that faces out and seat the spiring so that it's ends fit in the indentations at the top and bottom rubber housings, it totally fixes the problem. I now have absolutely no noise and it steers perfectly smoothly.
