how do i install a water temp gauge like were do i run the wires to?????

sorry to bring this back from the dead....but mind tellin me what size fitting u used?....im having trouble finding something liek this for my water temperature guage:
 the ones on my temperature sensor has a hole in middle and it looks somethin like that ^^^^^ --------------------  |
