Hi i'm new here, hello everybody!!
just own a '99 and find out the trunk won't open. look like a known issue... how to fix? any advices? thanks! -tom

Mine doesn't work either, but it's simply because my trunk lid is so much heavier than stock due to several layers of sound deadener and an aftermarket spoiler. That may be the cause of your problems.
Moved to a more appropriate forum.
