Taking a page out of Celiracer's book, I also painted mine red (what? so i like red!
 ) I also put a label on it, and no, its not overspray. I cut the emblem and the letters from reflective tape and stuck it on the bar. What do you think? That's so people can see me at night when I'm...uh...driving with my hatch open?  But I think it looks good anyway!

Do you have a close-up picture of the plastic parts that go over the bar on top of the strut? It looks like they're molded to fit the bar? Is that so...mine's totally not like that.
