okay, so i recently jsut got a new systemin my celi, and all i need now are new door speakers!
so i was wondering what companys you guys would suggest for sound quality and jsut all in all good speakers...i ahve PLENTY OF BASS so i dont need speakers with lots of thump. jsut need something that will amke it all sound nice and pretty so good companys and size reccomendations......ive heard like 4 diffrent sizes that i can fit in each speaker location, so i dont really know waht size i should use...thoughts on that would be appreciated also. thanks! speakers are designed to work in certain enclosures. Most subwoofers are designed to work in enclosures. They need the resisting force of the air within the enclosure so that the cone moves properly and also to prevent the sub from bottoming out. Your door is a leaky enclosure at best. Find a speaker that work well in IB(infinite baffle) situations. Look for a speaker with a QTS of higher than 0.5 generally.
size of a speaker really does not make a speaker suck. There are even 12" midrange(pro audio etc). It is all about finding the right speaker. I have 7s in my doors and they play well to 45-50hz.
