idel problem, idel problem on 3sfe Options

hi i am new to this i got this web site from a friend and he said that you lot helped him out

i have a problem just fitted a new engine and the car and the problem is it idel at 2000rpm and after it is worm gose between 500rpm and 2000 rpm on its own ever 7 sec i dont understand why and how to stop this help please
it is the 3sfe engine what is in the car and the same as what came out of the car.

Check your coolent level. If it's low, it will slosh around and only hit the thermostat every now and then. When it does this, it's causes the idiol to go up and down. It goes up until enough fluid is pasted over the thermostat, then down because it knows it's hot enough, then up because the fluid stops passing over it. I hope I explained that right.
There are other reasons for it too. Mine is doing this a little. Goes from 1200-1800. I idol high most of the time. It only does this when it's really cold outside, so I've yet to figure it out. I don't care to much about it though, because it's so rare.
