Hi everyone. I just bought me a 94 Celica ST auto tranny yesterday. It is the girlish terquise color but since this is a used car and my daily driver I am fine with it. This is by means not my first Toyota at all. I also own an 86 MR2 with a silvertop 4age in it. I have also owned an 81 celica GT(build a 20R/22R hybrid for it), 86 Corolla SR5, 83 Celica GT, 84 Celica, GT and two 2nd gen camrys. Also I have a bachlors degree in automotive from Pittsburg State University and used to be a Toyota certified technician before I decided to get another bachlors(this one in business). My dad is a parts manager at a Toyota dealership and has sold Toyota parts for 32 years. So I pretty much grew up around Toyotas. As for me I am a 26 year old who has been married for 8 months now and we are trying to get pregnant. I just started back to school at the University of Arkansas and am pursuing a degree in business finance. As for the Celica it has 209K on it and I am the third owner of it. The person I bought it from has all the records he did to it while he owned it. The interior is in almost perfect condition with a couple of minor things. He did put a full walmart stereo system in it so last night I already ordered a new head unit and speakers from crutchfield. I am just hoping that he didn't butcher up the wires too bad but oh well it just determines how much wiring I have to do so that still isn't too bad. the other plans I have for the car are to just get a K&N or TRD drop in filter, probably remove the cat(dont have emissions testing here in Arkansas so I can get away with it). Then I am going to get some TC wheels, lower the car with some Tein S tech springs, and a factory spoiler and that is pretty much it. I really want to do a manual tranny conversion and then swap in a 20V 4age but my wife is making me keep it an auto for a few years. As for my Mr2 it is getting built right now for some soloII running. I am in SM2 class so I really need to give the motor some more power. right now it is just a stock ST 20V with no cat and an HKS exhaust. However, I am in the process of converting to a blacktop ECU so I can put some velocity stacks on it and get rid of the AFM. Also I am about to order some Toda cams, springs and gears and get a TRD metal head gasket. It also has Suspension techniques springs and Tociko struts and I am also about to order a high and tight rear sway bar and Twosrus rear tie rods. Along with that it has 15" Kosei K1' wheels with goodyear eagle F1 tires. Anyways here are a couple of pictures of both of my cars:

Nice MR2, I like those Silver top conversions. I didn't think you could run the blacktop ECU because of the different valve set-ups in the two motors. I would just run stand alone if you're already in the SM2 class. That thing is going to have to really scoot to run in SM class. The coupe ST's are great for autox, they are the lightest of all the Celica's. I've heard when you go from an auto to manual in the ST's it's a real night and day difference.

I heard that by switching to the blacktop ecu you get a little bit more power because it is tuned a little bit more. I think really there isn't much difference in the two motors other then electric things and the blacktop has bigger throttle bodies maybe a couple of other things different but not enough to not be able to use its computer. As for going stand alone I have thought about that but it is really tricky to use a stand alone with the VVT system in the 20V's. Plus I have found a couple of companys that can reprogram the stock computer to your setup and that is what I plan on doing once I go full out toda(bottom and top end). I have heard the ST's are great for autox but I wont be doing that in mine because this is my daily driver and my wife will keep reminding me of that which is why she wont let me convert to manual tranny. -------------------- img]http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a32/MtyMseHarmer/captainsignature2.jpg[/img]
