Any one that has put a front mounted intercooler on their celica. What did you use or fabricate in order to get a secure placement of the intercooler??? Engione is rebuilt!!!I am a few weeks away from the actual implant of my burien kit. "Yeah yeah" I know go 3sgte. Only one problem I am on a little island where I don't have much expertese around to work on my wiring. I am getting another Celica in a few. I will probably go that route next go round. Maybe then I can fly some of the experts in .....I heard some of you guys will actually work for a six pack LOL. Just kidding.Count down to boost shall begin when the intercooler is mounted up.

QUOTE(Negative @ Feb 7, 2007 - 4:51 PM) I ressurected this old topic because I did not want to create a new thread for the same old topic. I have a front mount similar to DG_Performance's in that last picture and I noticed something while searching IC setups and this thread especially. All the custom FMIC setups I have seen seem to require modification or complete elimination of the square tubular aluminum bumper support with the exception of the smaller FMIC's. Isn't this the 5mph crash bar? And if so doesn't this greatly reduce the cars ability to survive low speed front end damage? The FMIC basically fell into my lap and since I am on a limited budget I would like to use it but not at the risk that some dumba$$ can completely ruin my car with some simple carelessness. My car has been hit by 2 large trucks in the front end over the last 2 years and I'm afraid that if I go this route that the 3rd time really will be the charm. Any input would be greatly appreciated. thats why you should buy the correct size IC for your car. as you can see in the pics. DG made his own bumper support that works with his IC setup. the cut support i have is so that the gt4 bumper would work. if you compare my crash bar to a real st205 bar, youll see that its actually stronger then what toyota used on that car. if your worried about safety, then sell the IC you have, and buy something smaller that will fit in the space you have. -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned
