I drove my dads solara on and off for a year now and I had no idea it has sport shifting. My boyfriend let me in on the secret that my dad wouldnt tell me about and I tested it out. It was pretty neat being able to switch from automatic to manual. Kinda weird not having to push a clutch in but I like it!
I know im probably the last person on this board to drive a car with sport shifting but I thought id share my experience. -------------------- Cruisin down the street in my Infiniti...always lookin for my next trip to Sin City

i drove an Acura TL with sport shiffting...it shifted from first to 2nd on its own, which is about 95% of the driving you do (stop and go) and after that its all up to you.
I didnt like it on the TL, but i have driven it on other cars like a Hyundai Santa Fe, but that car had Downshifting problems. IF your rpm were at 3k and u try to downshift the onboard pc says "HELL NO!" and u basicly shuts down, and you stay in your current gear for a mile. --------------------  Kawi Love |
