Just wondering how many ST205/3rd gen 3SGTE parts are in common with the 2nd gen 3SGTE. I know the blocks are nearly identical between the two generations......mainly I'd like to know about things like timing belt and tensioner, spark plugs, distributor, plug wires, injector O-rings, etc.
I suspect that they're interchangable but I know that a few of you with the ST205 motor would know for sure. Thanks everyone in advance.

Yeah, the block is heftier and more reinforced somehow, I've heard this as well. But as far as external parts go for tune ups, like belts, water & oil pump, ignition....mostly the same?
I mean I could always just find OEM part numbers and order stuff from Toyota, but I figured maybe some of you that swapped 3rd gens would know what works and what doesn't. -------------------- 3rd gen ST205 3SGTE - Alive and boosting. |
