Any one else out there use Fruity Loops Studio 6?? I got the program from my buddy. Its like a $600 music making program. Its sooo freakin hard to use, but its sooo freakin sweet. Ive made some pretty good dance beats so far, but im gonna try and make some more rap beats for my buddy. Hes a good rapper, good at writing lyrics, but cant make beats.

Any one else out there use the program/have any hints for making music?

Sweet, some musicians!

I used to use FL3-4, they're fun.....I used to play arount with it alot and actually have some pretty neat stuff if anyone wants to hear it. smile.gif

Right now I'm recording my drum tracks for the bands full album release. Our setup consists of ProTools 7, from there running a DigiDesign 002 console with the motorized faders, then we use an optical connection on the Digi to link to a Mackie 8-channel tube preamp, which allows us 8 additional inputs. We have a whole slew of mics to plug into that setup.....Rode NTK tube condenser, Rode NT5's, Shure SM81, some Neuman condensers and a TON of SM57s for guitar cabs, snare, etc. In addition we have some M-Audio MIDI interfaces that work beautifully with Logic Pro and Reason as MIDI plugins for ProTools. This is all run on either a Mac G5 with a 23" flat panel Mac monitor or through a Macbook, with mass storage on a LaCie 500GB external firewire drive.

I went to school for Music Recording so I'm a dork when it comes to this stuff. haha. Really I prefer to play though, I have much more of a passion and drive to perform than anything.
