Okay...I currently have a nearly flawless (in every way) 95 GT Automatic with 82K miles on it and paid off, but I am really dieing for a Manual. So, I found a 95 GT Black Manual with only 72K miles on it and the guy will sell it to me for $6,300. I think this is a good price considering the miles, and the engine is good and all. However, the sides of the body from fenders to back panels are a real mess - like 12 dings (the kind that can be pulled out), lot of noticeable chips, and scratches...some carefree chick was driving the damn thing...ugh!

So, if I sell my current car too, I would be basically losing no money, but have to get this one repainted and un-dinged ($2k-$3k right?) I was thinking about doing a tranny swap with my current car, but this would likely even out with the paint job on the other celica, as far as cost. What would you do? Do you think a new paint job and tranny swap are about the same price?

Thanks for listening...

why not spend 1/2 the money it would take to clean up that car and do a tranny swap?
