is it worth swaping in a 4agze in my st with 195000 on it. theres nothing wrong with the chassis as far as i can tell but will the swap keep my car reliable

Not legal in Cali. To do it completely legal it needs to come from your year car or newer and it has to have all the appropriate smog/egr stuff on it. Then after the swap is done you've got to take it to a Ref to get it signed off. The only truly legal 3sgte swap (for example) in Cali would be to find a wrecked 95 MR2 and put that engine in a 95 or 94 celica.
