Ok, how much for a shop to install some coilovers and what are the down sides of having them? Are there any down sides? The only good things i can see now are; lowered as much i want, looks nice, handles better..

I dont' know much about any of this so i don't know the down sides of everything? Could somone point them out? Thanks. -cnelson. smile.gif

please, just don't buy the really cheap ones on ebay. lowering springs are better choice unless your'e going to get ground controls (or something equivalent).

they're pretty easy to install, but once your car is lowered, you might run into some issues, like culpable04 said.

not just ground clearance either. many shops don't have lifts that are low enough to get under a sufficiently lowered car. same with your average trolley jack. this presents an even bigger issue if, say, you get a flat...and one corner of the car is even lower.

if you're going for the "slammed" look, coilovers are a good choice. if you just want a more aggressive look and better handling, go for springs, like eibachs or teins.
