Well a little over a week ago I sent my wiring harness out to be converted from a silvertop to a blacktop ECU(ST runs off of AFM and blacktop runs off of MAP). While I had the harness out and some time I decided to do some painting of the motor. I also ordered some velocity stacks for it. Which I went ahead and painted them to match the valve cover. I took the spark plug cover and filled in any holes that I had in it from before when I debadged it and then painted it a gloss black. Looking at the pictures you can obviously tell everything isn't in its correct spots since I am still waiting on the harness. I will also be ordering some "sock" style filters for the stacks here in the next couple of days as well. Let me know what you think:

Well today I finished putting all the polyurathane bushings on the car. Then I said screw it and use zip ties to tie down anything that wasn't final yet and I went for a drive in the car. Granted I still need to do some tuning with it but I wanted to drive it with the new ECU and intake setup. As soon as I let off the clutch and floored it the car bogged down a little bit but I think that is due to the timing not being set yet and I also think I am going to get a little bit of that with the velocity stacks on it. At about 3000-3500 that bogging goes away and it is instant zip and go. It is like a new freaking car oh my god does it take the freak off. I only took it up to 7K on this run but it felt so much stronger then it did before. With the bushings on there I can definitly feel more of the road now but that is alright this is a project car not a dd. I have to say this is the best decision I made for this car. Blacktop ECU all the way baby. The sound is so amazing too it is very loud but very dominating too. IT is hard to describe. It is something you will have to experience for yourself. Coomer knows what I am talking about but it really is something you have to more hear then read a description of.

Exactly. ![]() Glad to hear that it's back together and running well. What's the part number for those Uni filters? I'm planning on ordering some at some point. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...

If you want I can find the part numbers but they may not fit yours. I had to measure the outside diamter of the velocity stack to figure out what size inside diamter filter I wanted. The stacks were a little over 2" I think and the filters were like 2.25" which was good because it was still a pain to get over the lip on the stacks. I bought my filters from bikebandit.com they sent them quick too so I woudl recommend going there to get them. -------------------- img]http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a32/MtyMseHarmer/captainsignature2.jpg[/img]
