So since im doing some work on my car, im gonna do some maintaince work i havent done for awhile. One of the things thats been in the back of my mind for awhile now, is does the 5sfe use a coil pack?? if it does, where is it? also could i replace it with say one from a company like MSD??

the coil is attached to the firewall with the ignitor.
no reason to upgrade the coil unless yours is broken, the mr2 guys use 100% stock ignition components up to ~400whp. -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)
