ok after doing some research i have decided to swap a 20v on my 7a , so right now i am puttting together a parts list of what is needed and i hope you guys can help me out, 1. a 20v head i want a full head with the intake and all the sensors ,right. 2. i will use a set of 4age pistons for the 20v head ,also they will be a lower compression. 3. the rods i want to know if a set of 4age rods will work or do i need a costom set? 4. what timming belt do i use ,i heard a 944 belt works but i dont know. 5. how do i wire it up and can i use a piggyback unit like emanage or do i have to go stand alone, i will be running a turbo on this setup but i am not out to make huge hp , so any help would be great ,thanks again guys smile.gif

For the timming belt with 7a+20v head I think guys run with 20v (or 16v ?) timming belt (don't forget the 4a lower timming gear) with modified 7a tensionner to fit .

i did the same conversion. i used the 7afe rods with 7afe pistons the belt i used was a renault espase mpv belt it's got 117 teeth if i remember correct.the tensioner i had made bigger by 5mm but i heard you can use the mazda 2.0 16v gold tappetcover tensioner. the housing on the back of the head will not allighn over the water pump cause of the taller block. and i used a stand alone ecu.
