Mechanic just called me stating front struts dont fit. I already called KYB (even though I pouchased from Ebay) and they said I got correct part#s. My mechanic only took apart the fronts and said the bolt on the wheellock or something is totally a different shape then the strut. He said my front struts are sealed. My rears are rebuildables.
So, from ebay: (2) 365092 front shocks, (2) 334125-334126 Rear STRUTS) KYB GR-2 shocks to fit 1994 to 1999 Toyota Celica all models excluding all trac 4WD. T KYB confirmed these are correct part#s. My mechanic said since my car is a convertible, sometimes they use different parts. Ad said fits all celicas 94-99 except Altrek. Mine is a 95 Celica GT Convertible. I also bought Tein Springs already from ebay? I dont think I can return them. What to do? Install springs without struts? Or just try to sell both of them back on ebay. jdmwerks13 -KYBS highperformanceoutlet - Teins Springs Any advice would be great. This post has been edited by nitemare: Feb 15, 2007 - 5:14 PM |

I really have no idea how it is on convertibles.. but on a coupe rear strut comes in 2 pieces. 1 that looks like a strut and a shock that goes inside. Shock can not drop in by itself because on the metal hexagonal plate being too big to drop in. I do not recall my mechanic doing anything special afterwares. he just assembled rest of strut and voila my car was dropped.
