Okay so I know what the differences are between a turbo and a supercharger my question is which one is actually better, since a supercharger is belt driven would that be harder on the engine than a turbo, and is it just as easy to up the boost on a supercharger as on a turbo, because I know with a turbo you just mess around with a boost controller, but since superchargers are belt driven do you have to upgrade the pulley that they have, or do you just buy a boost controller just like a turbo. And what exacly is an aftercooler, I've heard somebody say something about these with supercharger. Sorry for all the questions I am just really thinking tonight. I dunno why?
And I also know that they do not make a supercharger for our cars I was just wondering. |

Most supercharger kits I've seen are 2500+, usually 3000 or more. People put together turbo kits for sport compacts for way less than that. As far as lag, T25's have very little lag and can handle up to a little over 200hp. There was a post recently about a guy that said he kept getting killed by Civics with Eclipse Turbo's. Eclipse turbos were T25's. This post has been edited by BlackSTX: Aug 14, 2003 - 8:15 AM |
