My car has been up on jack stands for about 5 months now, and i went to work under it again and noticed it was leaking something. I had noticed earlier when i was working in the garage that it smelled like gas all of the sudden. I figured it was one of my neighbors doing something, because i didnt have any open gas lying around.
There are 3 lines going to/from my fpr. First one is blue and goes towards the engine. second 2 are smaller I will get some pics up asap of where the leak is coming from. The line that goes to the bottom of the fpr is the line that is leaking It is not a small drip, fluid is streaming down the control arm. Battery is disconnected. I found this under the car ![]() ![]() ![]()

In the 1, 4, 5 you can see the hose that is leaking. it is the one with the worm clamp. Its leaking right where the rubber hose is connected to the solid fuel line
The 7 pic shows the line going to the bottom of the fpr. What hose is that? Im guessing its the fuel return line. The banjo bolt is from the brake caliper. I had it set aside and someone must have kicked it under the car. I saw it, it smelled like gas (or rather my hand) and freaked, thinking that the bolt fell out and was causing my leaking. I still dont know why it started leaking in the first place. Like I said, the car has been sitting like that for the past 5 months (front end on jackstands) and it only started leaking early this afternoon. How could it just start to leak on its own? All ive done lately was take off the drivers brake system (rotor, pads, caliper) but didnt touch anything in the engine bay, and that was at least a week ago... *shrugs* This post has been edited by 6gsillyca: Mar 11, 2007 - 9:38 PM |
