When swapping the st205 3sgte engine into the GTS (GT) model do you need to changed the transmission as well? I'm asking this because I have talked to a shop that will be installing the ST205 3sgte engine in my car and he said no.
The shop is only charging me 5-6 grand canadian. Is that worth it? |

Like the shop says, you do not need to swap the tranny. I've seen a USDM Celica GT with a 3S-GTE pushing 450+ horsepower on a stock tranny without problems.
As far as pricing goes, does that price include the cost of the engine, or is that the price just for labor? -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...
