QUOTE(LewFX @ Mar 13, 2007 - 11:26 PM) its not legal to tint any front windows in all fifty states, unless its factory tinted That is not true. You may legally tint your window I don't know where you got that info from but it's wrong. According to Section 375 Subsection 12-a.(b) " No person shal operate any motor vehivel upon any public highway, road or street : (1) that the front windsheild of which is composed of, covered by or treated with any material which has a light transmittance of less than seventy percent unless such materials are limited to the uppermost six inces of the windheild; or (2) The sidewings or side windows of which on either side foward or adjacent to the operator;s seat are composed of, covered by or treated with any material which has a light transmittance of less than severny persent. (3) If it is classified as a station wagon, sedan, hardtop, coupe, hatchback or convertable and any rear side window hsa a light trans, ittance of less than seventy percent ; or (4)the rear window of which is composed of, covered by or treated with any material which has a light transmittance of less than severnty percent. A rear window may have a light tansmittance of less than severnty percent if the vehicle is ewuipp[ed with side mirrors on both sides of the vehicle so adjusted that the driver thereof shall have a clear and full view of the road and condition of traffic behind such vehicle. " Thats all of the statute. After reading this you will see that in the NYS Vehicle and Traffic law it is not stated anywhere that it is illegal to have a tint that is not from the factory. You may have tints, but the must be less than 70%. The ennnnd. -------------------- Buy my Celica $2,500 - http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=76562&st=0
