Basically, I am middle of a 2nd gen 3sgte swap and my wiring is setup for a 90-91 ecu (pinout from DR Tweak). It cranks but there is no spark. We have checked the igniter, coil, distributor and wires using the BGB from celicatech, and they all check out.
I went to google to see if I could find any info and ran across a web-site with some ecu part numbers. http://www.toysport.com/webpages/WebUpdate...A20ECU20WEB.htm I found an ecu that had 89661-20760 for the part number and was wondering if there is a difference between this one and the 89661-20750? I thought mine was right, I thought the part number on the ecu was 89661-20750 but part of the 5 is missing and it isn't really legible. I figured it was right based on the part numbers listed in a thread I found. JDM 185 ecu's- 89661-20750=89/10-90/03(superceded to 20751) 89661-20751=90/03-91/08 89661-2b310=91/08-92/02 89661-2b280=91/08-93/09 Does anyone know if there is any difference between the ecus with 89661-20760 and 89661-20750, thanks. -------------------- ![]() |

QUOTE(alltracman78 @ Mar 18, 2007 - 9:51 AM) Check your E2 wire. It's brown. It supplies the source voltage for all those sensors. I'm surprised you don't have a MAP sensor code too. QUOTE(x_itchy_b_x @ Mar 15, 2007 - 7:50 AM) i have a 93 jdm 3s and its ecu only has one board and no silk screen pin lables. If you're going by the part# on the case, someone probably swapped a cover or case on you. There's a reason the 92^ have 2 circuit boards. There is a more sensitive second diagnostic mode on those ECUs. Which is the reason for the second board. It's not a some do some don't like the 7 vs 9 hole exhaust manifolds, ALL 92^ ECUs have them. So does the 5SFE for that matter. im pretty sure it's a 93. i was basing that off of the fact that i have a 9 stud manifold and the plug wires. my ecu code is 89661-20750=89/10-90/03(superceded to 20751), and i bought the engine in a front clip I can assure you the ecu/cover wasn't swapped, the screws i removed from there had no signs of even having a screw driver in them. Wait, so if thats the case, did i buy a 91 that had a 93 head put on it.... -------------------- |
