any one seen one or has done one??? the talk about this combo is it can be builted to make more than 600hp. All the parts needed are most of the same parts for the 5sfte + the 3SGTE head, intakemanifold, & wire harnese.

Personally, I like having a larger displacement. Just 2 words of caution on using the 5S block. Mainly focused on those of you without large sums of money floating around. If you're going to be spending 20k in your engine, these are both moot.... 1-It has no oil squirters. Not the end of the world. Manny is putting some nice power down without them. Others are as well. And yes they can be machined to accept them. But that's a good bit of time and money. It's not "easy" as someone stated....... Just one more aspect of reliability, as far as I'm concerned.... 2-If you plan on running the stock bottom end, the rod:stroke isn't too good for the higher RPMs the G head can sustain. Nor are the rods/pistons/rings designed for those higher rpms. -------------------- ![]() |
