Hi
I had my Celica GT for around 2 months now, one of the forst things i wanted to do with it is get the cam belt changed as it was last done at 40000, its now on 89000. also got a few oil leaks repaired, the bill ended up being rather large! I was wondering if you need to wear in new cam belts a bit as my car seems to be making a whining noise since i got it back, the car feels fine its just the noise is a little disconcerting. so now im getting a bit paranoid that the garage didnt do it properly! is there much chance that a mechanic could mess a job like this up? ritch |

The timing belt is too tight. What you're describing is EXACTLY what happens when a timing belt has been installed too tight. -Doc -------------------- -Dr Tweak, 6GC's resident engine swap wiring expert extraordinaire Click here to see my swaps drtweak@phoenixtuning.com |
