Do you think they have the right to determine whether they will give out Plan B? thats emergency contraception for those of you that dont know :-)

I think they have no right to make that decision. What about some girls that live in small town only have 1 walgreens and need to get it but the pharmacist says no? Then they are forced to find another way to get it. And if you dont have a car thats a heck of a thing to have to try get.

I just think that its none of a pharamacists business to pass judgement. Things happen and condoms break. This prevents the release of an egg so then there wont be need for an abortion down the line. Anyone who calls Plan B abortion is cracked out.

i think it depends on where you live. different states have alternating laws that govern what the scope of practice is for their pharmacists. some even grant medication prescription authority to their pharmacists (as opposed to them needing a doctor's orders). new grads or the incompetent pharmacists might be afraid to prescribe something if they think their license would be taken away (something they have worked hard for) so they just say they cant or wont. that doesn't mean that you don't have the right to access it. everyone has the right to available means of emergency contraception. planned parenthood even dispenses it for free, also free birth control shots and pills. just see what's available in your area.
