Okay so I know what the differences are between a turbo and a supercharger my question is which one is actually better, since a supercharger is belt driven would that be harder on the engine than a turbo, and is it just as easy to up the boost on a supercharger as on a turbo, because I know with a turbo you just mess around with a boost controller, but since superchargers are belt driven do you have to upgrade the pulley that they have, or do you just buy a boost controller just like a turbo. And what exacly is an aftercooler, I've heard somebody say something about these with supercharger. Sorry for all the questions I am just really thinking tonight. I dunno why?
And I also know that they do not make a supercharger for our cars I was just wondering. |

you will let off the gas at some point, so a BOV will still be useful in extending the turbo's life. after an engine swap youw ill not legally pass smog, but if you have a friend in the test center, then you can pass. it also will not pass if you dont have a CARB certified turbo setup, but the good thing about a turbo setup, is that is it easy to remove. there are no SC kits for the celica ST. you would have to go with the SC from a 4agze. it wont be easy to have an SC setup, and it wont give as much HP as a TC with the proper fuel delivery upgrades(injectors, fuel pump, SAFC, fpr) and an intercooler, you can run up to 10psi on stock internals and your auto tranny will be fine so long as you dont always have you foot to the floor causing it to over heat. -------------------- 1994 Celica GT4 WRC Edition
