I find it humorous to just slow down when someone is tailgating me. For example, I am doing 60 in a 55. Someone is tailgating me. I slow down to 45. Most people understand with this method that they are not going to get there faster by riding my ass, so they back off and I speed back up. If they don't understand, I "think" I see a deer in the road, so I slam on my brakes.

I do the same thing, except i usually don't under the speed limit  I had a cop tailgate me once when i was on a road where the speed limit was 30mph. So i just chilled at 30 until i had to turn off that road, my guess is he was trying to get me to go faster so he could give me a speeding ticket..haha, nice try officer
