 engine swap and passing CA smog, will swapping an engine make u not pass? |

i live in CA (which has very stupid car laws) and was wondering if when u swap, lets say, a 3sgte engine will it stop you from passing the smog test? and if it does stop you then is there any way to prevent that? even if it is just for the drive over to the smog test place? thanks.

but you have to get it every 2 years right? so im going to have to bribe someone every time i have to get it smogged? that would kinda suck.
