Okay so here's the deal. Right now I have a '94 Celica GT that I love. There are alot of things I would like to do to it, but there is a problem that I need to solve first. Here is the problem... my celica has about 204,000 miles on it and everything seems to be running great still, but I know it's gonna be time soon to start replacing stuff, like shocks, brakes, blah blah, and I'm not quite sure what all will need to be replaced. So my question to you is, should I keep my celica and just replace the things that will need to be replaced and what would those things be, or get one with less miles on it?

Hey man, good to see you on the site again. Haven't talked to you since the meet. Well, I'll tell you what I'm doing. My celica's got just over 217K now, and I was wondering the same thing as you. I could sell it for more than I bought it for, and then get another one. But I ended up a few months ago finding a 97 5s with under 10K on it for $500. And I got the whole suspension (front and back) from the same car. So that's my summer project, along with painting it, and I'll have an almost new car. In your case, I think it all depends on what you want from the car. If you've got plans for an eventual 3s swap, then just start saving and when the engine goes, you can just replace it with that. With a 3s you'd probably want to upgrade brakes and axles anyway, so that would solve your whole problem. If you don't have those plans, and just love the styling of the celica, consider saving up and getting another. Cause for the price of a 3s plus the money you'd get from selling your car, you could probably get a pretty nice one. Just my 2 cents. Let me know how it goes.
