I need some forged rods for my 7a-fe, i will be using wiseco forged pistons listed for a 4a-ge (same bore) but i need forged rods with a stroke of 3.36" or 85.5mm
i have searched for rods with that length and the closest i can get is 3.38"/86.0mm listed for a 2JZ-GTE. the length seems good but will the rods fit correctly? any help would be great. thanks, dustin |

Thats cool, sounds like you're going about it right. That $700 figure probably isnt' too far off...but remember...if you treat them right, they'll be the last rods you'll ever buy for that engine. The guys in that business are very good at finding pre-existing parts that will work with a little machine work. I'd be willing to bet that they'll be able to hook you up for less than $700 but either way you'll have to wait a while. Thats the price of engine development.
